Researching a company you are about to interview with is incredibly important, not just to impress the potential employer, but to ensure the company looks like a good fit for you.
Researching allows you to learn about the company’s mission, values, and culture. It will enable you to align yourself with the company and better prepare appropriate questions for the interview. Researching a company prior to the interview demonstrates a genuine interest in the job and the company as a whole. It is incredibly unimpressive to a potential employer to have a candidate show up for an interview knowing nothing about the job or company.
